WHAT’S YOUR FOOTPRINT?

A shoe changing colors from daily carbon emissions.

Client: Clarks Originals and 350.org

The fashion and textile industries are some of the biggest contributors to global warming. With Clarks Originals and 350.org, an organization focused on offsetting carbon emissions, we created a shoe that reflects the effects of global warming. The shoe changes colors using thermochromic fabric or a fabric that changes its molecules when interacting with heat.

Packaging

You don’t want this heat (get it) sitting in a cardboard box now, do you? Well, these Clarks won’t. The packaging for the shoe will consist of clear biodegradable plastic. The plastic orb can house the shoe or other materials such as potting soil for plants or as a recycling container. The orb does biodegrade to so reduce pollution.

OOH Ads.

As promotion, the shoe will be advertised on Digital OOHs across the world in major cities. Only in cities contributing to carbon pollution. Each billboard will showcase the temperatures of today in contrast to five years ago. The temperatures, color of shoe, and time will alter on 2 minute intervals.
